Home Remedies of Gout

Change of diet: It is recommended for the person wanting to heal from gout to be on a totally vegan diet. A vegan diet for gout would include an increase of fresh fruits, vegetables, and uncooked nuts and berries. In addition, the person should decrease in the intake of white breads and other processed foods. Also, the person should used vegetable oil in place of butter or margarine, and should drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. Futhermore, it is recommended to replace meats with plant sources for protein intake, and to drink a milk made from plants rather than animals, such as rice or soy milk. This meatless diet will help clean out the colon, and reduce toxic buildup in the muscles which causes arthritic conditions such as gout.

Along with choosing what to eat, it is important to remember also how to eat. When it is time to eat one should make sure to eat 4-5 smaller meals in a day rather than 2-3 larger meals in a day. This will help the body digest more foods more thoroughly, and the body will take in more of the necessary nutrients.

If a person has any further questions about diet, that person can consult an ayurvedic doctor who can help assign a recommended daily allowance of a variety of foods. Also, a person can consult library books, or search on the internet for further information on diets that will help a person who is suffering from gout recover.

Exerize Regularly: A person with gout should be sure to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Stretching exercizes can loosen up the muscles, and help reduce stress on the body. Also, massaging of the affected joints can help as well. When possible, one should also partake in a moderate aerobic activity to help prevent further attack of gout.

In addition to regular exercize, be sure to strive to live a balanced life. A balanced life includes a time set aside activities such as work, sleep, time with friends and family, hobbies, and prayer. A full life makes a healthier body, and a healtier body means reduction of the risk of problems such as gout.
