Diarrhea is sometimes mistaken as the by-product of and for other stomach ailments and as such is considered a common condition and a relatively minor one at that.

As at its root diarrhea is a severe disruption of the digestive system, then during a bout of the illness it is virtually impossible and certainly not advisable to ingest solid foods. So a liquid diet of purifying agents such as vegetable soups is recommended to provide nourishment.

In infant diarrhea it is advised that the child drinks cow or goats milk, or if unavailable any other pure animal milk to build up both strength and the digestive system.

One other recommended herbal cure for diarrhea is as follows,

Mix tablespoons of poppy seeds cardamom powder and edible gum together along with two tablespoons of sugar and half a one of nutmeg and grind the mixture into a powder.
Ingest this powder regularly every two hours.
